Lesson 1 / 32
What is Angular?
Learn what Angular is, why it suits large structured apps, and install the Angular CLI to scaffold projects.
What is Angular?
Angular is a component-based framework for building single-page web applications, maintained by Google and written in TypeScript. Routing, forms, and an HTTP client ship built in.
When to use it
Angular suits large, structured apps — dashboards, enterprise tools, anything where a consistent architecture across a big team matters. Its opinionated structure keeps large codebases maintainable.
Installing the CLI
The Angular CLI scaffolds projects, generates code, and runs the dev server.
npm install -g @angular/cli
ng version
