Your First Project
Create your first Angular project with ng new, run the dev server and tour the standalone project structure.
Create & serve
ng new scaffolds a new app; ng serve starts a live-reloading dev server.
ng new my-app
cd my-app
ng serve # http://localhost:4200Project structure
src/app holds your components, main.ts bootstraps the app, angular.json configures the build, and index.html is the single HTML shell.
Modern default
Since Angular 17, ng new scaffolds a standalone, NgModule-free app by default — that's what this course uses throughout.
