Lesson 20 / 20
Organizations & Teams
Manage shared repositories with organizations, teams and least-privilege repository permissions.
Organizations
An organization is a shared account that owns repos for a company or project, separate from any one person's account.
Teams & permissions
Teams group members and get repo permissions (Read, Triage, Write, Maintain, Admin) assigned all at once instead of per person.
Least privilege
Grant the minimum permission level needed — most contributors only need Write, not Admin.
