Add notes to your source with HTML comments, and remember that anyone can read them in page source.
Comment syntax
Anything between <!-- and --> is invisible on the rendered page.
<!-- This is a comment, it won't be shown -->
<p>Visible text.</p>Not for secrets
Comments are invisible on-screen but still sit in the page source — anyone can view them, so never hide passwords or secrets there.
