The Final Checklist

Review everything before you apply.

A last pass across every document

Before applying, review the whole package as a reviewer would. Is every claim true and something you can discuss in depth? Do the strongest, most relevant bullets appear first? Is the format simple, consistent and text-based? Is this version tailored to the role without adding anything false? Do the links work, and do they lead to a current GitHub profile, curated pins, READMEs with demos and green CI? Do LinkedIn and your site match the resume's facts? Has at least one other person read it? Then apply, track what you sent, and keep improving.

Resume and portfolio checklist

Use it before every application round.

GitHub and projects
[ ] profile README short and current

Everywhere
[ ] LinkedIn and site facts match the resume

Small, regular updates

Add new achievements to your brag document and master resume every month or two, so updating before a job search takes an hour instead of a weekend.
