LinkedIn and Personal Site Alignment
Consistent facts across every profile.
Same facts, different depth
Reviewers often check more than one profile, so make the facts identical: job titles, employers, dates, degrees and project names. Each platform can have a different depth. LinkedIn can have a short headline describing what you do, an About section in plain language, roles with a few highlights, and links to projects. A personal site is optional; if you have one, keep it simple and fast, with an about section, a few projects with write-ups, a link to your resume and contact details. Write-ups about what you built or learned can be a strong signal, but only if you keep them accurate and reasonably up to date.
One consistent, honest story everywhere
Your resume, GitHub, LinkedIn and site should tell the same true story, improved through feedback.
